IS THIS A REJECTION?

I recently found what I thought sounded like an excellent match for me. He and I had many common interests, the age was right, the profile was really interesting, and there was even a photo which showed a really nice looking man. So, I sent a message two or three times over a couple of weeks. He has not yet responded.

I kind of feel embarrassed. Should I just wait and see what happens, or move on? I have had a few responses from others who seemed to be a good match... except for age. Can't feel comfortable with a much younger man.

Any suggestions out there?

First, good for you for taking the initiative to contact people you are interested in getting to know. One of the best ways to get the ball rolling is to start the process yourself.

As to this particular situation, you can see when the other member logged in last by viewing his profile page.

Separately, you can see if he read your email message(s) by clicking the SENT folder in your Email area.

If he has logged in recently, and he has read your message(s), but not responded...then it is likely there is not a match here...although it would have been nice if he had at least responded in some way.

If he hasn't logged in recently (or read your messages), then it may just take a little longer before you see how this unfolds.

In the meantime, we encourage you to explore other sites in the network, as you may find people on other sites that are also of interest.
