A Happy, Healthy, Lucky, Widowed Man is Looking I am a recently widowed man, who has always had a great life. I have five great kids and they all have great wives. I also have thirteen very nice grancildren. Half of my family lives near and the others live on both coasts. They have their own lives to live and since my old life is gone, I look forward to building a new one.

The only woman that I ever "knew" was my wife. We were married for over 50 years and she died just seven months ago. I loved her very much and we had a great marriage, but I have decided that I don't want to live alone. I feel that the ability to love is not necessarily limited to just one person. I have also decided that the people who tell you that you shouldn't make any decisions until after six months are right. I have returned from my house in Florida, my six-month waiting period is over and I can be serious about decisions about my future.

Many questions are asked to determine if a man and woman have the same interests. I don't believe that it is essential that both parties have all of the same interests. I see nothing wrong where one party likes to play tennis or golf, but the other party doesn't, but does like to maybe garden. Everyone should be able to have the freedom to do what he or she likes and that shouldn't cause any conflict. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THEY SHARE THE SAME VALUES.

The activities that I really enjoy are quiet breakfasts with a newspaper, quiet evenings with a book or TV, attending family events, making slide shows of those family events, working in yard or garden, walking the beach, compiling my genealogy and yes, wine on the porch or deck. I enjoy taking two and sometime three days to drive back and forth to Floida and stopping at nice hotels along the way. I would also like to continue some other travel. The reality is that I am looking for someone to continue to grow old with (but not too fast).
