I search for thee in this tempest like the wind embraced the sturdy oak What light beckons you to my shore?
Not the harsh neon lights, I am sure
The twinkle in my eyes is too dim
The glow in my heart hidden within

What light entices you to my land?
Have my poems found an ardent fan
Or is it your imagined heated desire
For my whispered seduction in your ear

What light seduces you to my side?
Like the moth attracted by the light
Scorched to death with wings open wide
A fatal union of broken promises and lies

What lights do I see in your eyes?
Is that the glow of love or just desire?
I dream your heart entwined with mine
Am I offered a home or S-- for the night?

Daylight has deserted, the night sky is dark
But at the far corner, softly flickers a light
My first star is out to shine, twinkling bright
Hopefully a galaxy of stars follows in flight
