Mild-mannered and attentive. Shared interests always appeal to me. I have exhausted the charms of single living and want to find someone else to be the top priority in my life. But I know I can't expect that what I am looking for, and seek to offer, will just happen. It will develop through joint effort to achieve intimacy without reserve and to enrich each other's lives and be enriched ourselves by that effort. Lots of cheek-to-cheek discussions to figure out what we can do, together, to create a life that gets beyond you and me to become us.
My life in general is casual and modest: clothing by Goodwill, books from the library, most days in jeans. I can be plenty useful: a pretty good cook in particular and a do-it-yourself approach to a lot of life's chores. I enjoy being outdoors, following current events, snarky humor, arts and crafts, and having sawdust on my hands. Above all else, I want to find someone to care about and be involved with, and to be just as much cared about in return. I suppose I would feel most comfortable with someone whose life has a similar texture, but I don't want to limit my vision.
I really enjoy home meals cooked together and other activities together -- just being with my sweetheart.
I work in several fields: computer consulting, woodworking, craftsman for a custom lighting manufacturer. Former lives: writing, photography, work on boats.
