Happy talk I have a difficult time with the Maturer Set as I do not dote on my or their grandchildren (we have them, they are cute in the pictures, obnoxious in person and will ruin their lives as we did ours in those early 20's, why angst?), My son doesn't live with me or even near me, has his own life, I see him seldom. We email everyday.
I don't want to hear about your last DR. visit, procedure, or hospital stay.I think it is boring and rude.
I won't tell you about mine, cause I haven't been in 15 years. I will die of what ever I die of, until then I want to live not have my life a series of appointments for this checkup and that med adjustment. And i especially do not want to see the parts they took out... a video of the procedure...If that is all you can find interesting to speak about, go read a book, grow a flower, learn to cook something good, paint a picture. And if you need that, there are plenty at the Senior Congregate meals who love to indulge.

But I will thrill to hear you speak of your travels..anywhere, the people you met, the food you ate, the country you saw. I will admire you immensely when you speak of the challenges you overcame to achieve a goal. I will sigh over loves let pass, and places been that are no more.

I will encourage you in all your endeavors of today, and plans for tomorrow Knowing that right now is all we really have.
