I am a 72 yr. old woman who has been widowed for 2 yrs. (married for 47) I have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. I have a degree in elementary education and have taught briefly. I am a retired medical office manager and still work part time for the same doctor doing medical transcription, accounts payable, etc. I enjoy reading, listening to music, movies, good conversation. I like to cook if I have someone to cook for and love to bake. I am eager to learn about whatever piques my curiosity. I have not traveled much but would love to do so.

I certainly do not want to misrepresent myself so I must say that I am what I would consider average looking and could stand to lose a little weight. I have brown eyes and silver hair. I tend to be a little quiet until I know someone pretty well. I had a happy marriage and miss the companionship and closeness we had. I am not necessarily looking for a spectacular romance, but for companionship with someone who understands me and whom I understand. I like someone who is well read and has a good sense of humor - someone I could feel comfortable just hanging out with.
