Life is what you make it. You can either see the cup as half empty or half full. My cup is always at least half full. I'm the eternal optimist, yet, am realistic and not a dreamer. Life has been good and I am thankful for my blessings. I believe the right person will come along and share the joys of life with me. With the exception of not having that special person in my life, I love where I am at this stage of my life. My children are grown up and on their own. I have a good job, which allows me enough time to pursue other interests. I enjoy the outdoors, either the beach or the mountains. Like to ski the Rockies. Enjoy Riverbend, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor, Tchaikovsky symphony with Jarvi, fine dinning and picnics in the park. While I'm not extravagant, I do like nice things and surroundings. I also enjoy good theatre, a concert, good food and good company. Sometimes, especially on a rainy day, nothing beats staying home and cuddling by the fire with that special person, maybe listening to some soft music. Sure would be great to find someone willing to experience some of the above with me. However, if that doesn't happen, I will still enjoy and live life to the fullest. My ideal match would first of all have a good sense of humor and be able to laugh at herself. She would be intelligent, successful, attractive, self confident, and yet not smug or conceited. She would have sympathy and empathy for those less fortunate. She would have good values, be athletic and fun loving. Extravagance is not necessary, but an appreciation of the finer things in life is a plus. She would be understanding, loving, kind and affectionate and would receive the same in return.
