I'm a retired marketing executive who has also had a multitude of start up companies during my life. At 73, however, I'm not as financially secure as I had planned on being. I made great money and was very successful but the cost of failed businesses and a divorce or two has forced me to be very financially motivated. Even now, I've embarked on what I expect will be the single most successful venture of my life, and I've had a few of them. I'm starting an investor surrogate service wherein others fund their investment portfolio while I make the actual market trades. I receive a commission of the profits for this very successful venture. I am divorced and spend my days very much alone, having basically, no family. Being without friendly contact is driving me crazy. I know I'm suffering from plain old loneliness. I'm looking for both male and female friendship to enjoy life with. I want to enjoy having dinner and going out with a "pretty one" and also having fun playing cards or just getting together for "buddy" talk with the guys. My daily routine is shortening my life in that I have no one to enjoy spending it with. I'm sure it would be nice to blog with someone a thousand miles away but I really want to establish relationships only a few blocks away ( or at least a short drive). I want close at hand personal interaction with someone or a group of friends. I'm also not embarrassed to say that I very much miss intimate contact with a woman to hold and hug and kiss and spend a so-called close to normal life with. I want to be happy with someone intimately and also have a good buddy-buddy relationship with some other "guys", kind of like a boys night out thing. I also miss not having anyone to share personal moments of hurt or pain due to the lack of someone who cares in my life. I yearn for a shoulder to cry on or even just a sympathetic ear to listen sometime. Someone I can call and talk to about the problems of the day and have them say, "I'll be right over".
