Hello I’m Philip BUZ Sawyer; a husky, ‘retired’, native Californian, ‘cup half full’ kind of guy. Grew up in Downey, 10 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, am a UCLA alum, a Vietnam era Navy vet and spent 30 years working in the Business Information Technology field in Operations, Programming, Project Management and at the executive level. I’m patriotic, honest, honorable and way too giving and dependable. I’m ‘retired’ because I got caught in the current economic downturn when I was laid off in May 2008 just before my 60th birthday and even tho I’ve sent out OVER 1000 resumes I haven’t been able to land a full time job. I planned to retire at 62 but the lousy economy forced me out 2 years early. Ended a long term marriage last year when the Mrs determined she liked me better when I had a 6 figure income and could often shop till she dropped. Have 2 grown children, a BEAUTIFUL 3 year old granddaughter and another on the way due in April 2011. I have ridden a Harley for most of the last 20 years but currently find myself without one tho I’m working on fixing that. I was a jock tho now just a fan of auto racing, especially F1 and the Lakers and Dodgers. I surfed into my 50s and last went snow skiing in 2006. I walk about 3 miles almost every morning and still lift weights tho not as much as I should. I ‘ride’ with the Patriot Guard Riders, a group of mostly retired Vietnam era vets who do things to honor and support today’s military and veterans. Us Vietnam vets never received any kind of welcome home so we strive to insure our current crop of National Defenders get the honor and respect they deserve. The conflicts America finds herself in are not their doing, they just answer the call of duty. We also honor vets who have passed and sadly I’m seeing a growing number of those around my age . . .

So what do you think ?? Interested ?? I see humor in most of life and like to laugh and probably don’t take most things as seriously as I should but ??
