Something Straightforward I'm 59 years old and I've been single for 15 years now, and I recently moved to Texas - staying with my daughter and granddaughter until I'm settled. By profession I'm a teacher - though I've not found work here yet; my degree is in special education. I am a published author and I like learning new things. I love reading, writing and going to the movies. I'm a good cook. It's only fair to tell you that I'm slowed down by some knee pain - but I'm still moving. In other words, I'd rather look at the ocean than try and walk beside it. I'm not a party person. I'm a peace-seeker by nature. I just want a straightforward friend who is open to whatever our possibilities might be. Friendship must come first - oh and Must Love Dogs. I have a small black and white Cocker Spaniel - who thinks he's king and I let him think it. His unconditional love makes all his hi-jinx worth it.
