A 'used-to-be redhead' but now more 'strawberry blonde' I would like to meet someone to spend some quality time with and enjoy the simple things in life. I was married to the same man for close to 43 years until his death about 3 years ago. I retired from the NC Department of Correction as lead nurse. I consider myself to be loving, caring,and affectionate. I get along well with almost every one but will not be bossed around, belittled or abused. I love to travel out West, visit historical sites and one day I would like to visit Ireland. I love dining out, but sometimes like to have a quiet dinner at home. I like 'Old Stuff" and enjoy going to antique stores,flea markets and thrift stores and may not buy a thing. I am a casual dresser most of the time but like to dress for the occasion, I just want to be comfortable. I volunteer in a sewing group and help make lap covers for nursing homes and stuffed toys for children in hospitals, then we play cards or board games in the PM. I would like someone to spend some quality time with and to enjoy doing things together. I do enjoy attending some
sports such as auto racing, college basketball (Duke) pro baseball, or hockey (Canes) but WILL NOT sit out in the cold to watch a football game or go on long hiking trips. I am not "Husband Hunting" but hey, if it happens, it happens.
