I am looing for friendship & perhaps a loving relationship. I am fighting the feeling of hopelessness for my being 50+. Is there anyone out there who is hurting from the loss of marriage either through divorce or death who is looking for a friendship or romance

`By experience I say that the loss of a partner whether is by death or divorce, it is the harder thing that can happen to a human being. Of course, all depend on how much you loved that person and how close you were to him (her). Only through prayer I was able to cope with the loss of my first husband after 21 years of marriage when I lost him to cancer at only age 41. Twenty seven years later, I still have that wound very touchy and opens up once in a while. The loss of my second husband was sad, but nothing that I could compare to the first one. Of course, even though I was very close to my second husband, we were married for only 2 years and 8 months when he past away. That made a big difference. Time frame is the key. I still miss them both, but in a different way.
I came to realize that in this life losing love ones is very common, and I strongly believe that the best cure (if there is any) is to talk to people that had the same sad experience, and once we see that we are not the only lonely people in this world, that, kind of eases off our pains. We don't have to go to far, we only have to check some profiles on this site to find a lot of company in our miseries.
