My son has to right to know who his father is.
We had to transfer to our ancestral house so that we can be near my other sisters because I had to work.. He grew up with his cousins, 2 of them are psychologists and 1 a psychiatrist (now based in the USA) He was their baby but he was not treated as such. He was only 3 years old that time and they observed that he was very smart for his age. My son was always asking them why was it he does not have his father when we went out to have lunch, went shopping, school activities, etc. His cousins advised me that it is my duty to tell him everything and of course, I know it. I told him, that his dad and his mom can't marry each other because his dad had to go back to his wife (who was suffering from bone cancer) and their annulment did not push through. I always pointed out to him that we are still a family, minus his dad.
No matter how often my son drives me crazy, still, I don't remember a time when I didn't say I love him. I found out that the best way to give more to my son is to give more to myself by being happy, not stressed out, frazzled. I want to be his role model of a healthy, happy adult.
